Peen & Clean was incorporated in 1975 and has grown steadily ever since. The company performs shot blasting and shot peening for various industries. We pride ourselves on the highest quality, fast turn around time and service to our customers. Some of our customers include companies in the automotive sector, the foundry industry, the porcelain industry, steel industry and fabricators. Peen & Clean and our employees are very proud in having achieved ISO 9001:2008 to further service our customers with good quality under systematic control. P&C is also an APMA (Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association) member Tier 2 automotive supplier. P&C, Peen and Clean operates as a job shop, specializing in metal finishing. Services include removal of rust, scale, paint and other impurities, surface preparation for finishes such as powder coat, paint, plating, E-coat and removal of sharp edges/small flashing. Other services include shot peening, a calculated procedure to increase metal fatigue strength and/or promote specific metal surface properties. Lead time requirements average 1-2 days, subject to special requests & volume.
“Did You Know?” The majority of shipyards no longer use sand for abrasive blasting because of concerns about silicosis, a condition caused by respiratory exposure to crystalline silica. Sand has a rather high breakdown rate, which can result in substantial dust generation. Because it is so hard and durable, steel grit can be reused, and it generates the least amount of waste per unit of surface area stripped.
